Studies for ‘Gardens in the Sky’ for an eco-tower situated in the main plaza in the heart of Seoul City. The garden was designed with a view to providing a visual amenity to the cityscape and act as a retreat for the hotel and office functions housed within the tower. Situated within an intermediate to high level atrium within the tower, the garden was used to create a microclimate within the building with a variety of features, including the spraying of water droplets which created a downdraft, which in turn helped cool the building in a sustainable manner.
